Reigate SC is immensely proud to announce that for the 2025 Home Internationals, the captains of both the England and Scotland Men’s Over 50 teams will hail from our very own club!
Richard Campbell has had a phenomenal season, topping the Scotland men’s over 50 rankings with strong performances throughout the season. This included winning the West of Scotland Regional Championships, finalist at the Scottish Closed and semi-finalist at the British Closed losing to the eventual winner in a tight match.
Wayne Beglan has been equally dominant in England, securing the top spot in the England men’s over 50 rankings. He finished as runner-up in two major tournaments, including the prestigious British Closed, where he put up a valiant fight and was narrowly edged out in the final against the No. 2 seed, after a highly impressive semi-final victory over the No. 1 seed and recent finalist at the World O50 championships.
We are incredibly proud of both Richard and Wayne and wish them the best of luck as they lead their teams in the April 2025 Home Internationals. Let’s show our support for our club’s champions!
